Profile Information

About Me
New York City producer, Jinesis, is on the rise in the realm of beats and breaks. Jinesis breathes new life into old school tracks. A New York City native, Jinesis was born in Queens, and raised uptown in areas throughout Harlem and the Bronx. If asked, the Bronx is home. It's also where he realized his love for creating music.

Taking notice during the hip-hop Golden era, Jinesis was fed by the movement in the Bronx. Conversations with many of his idols, including LL Cool J only added fuel to the fire. For years, he has been dedicated to perfecting the craft of making instrumental soundscapes. Though hip-hop is undeniable in the forefront of Jinesis’ style, there is a fusion of genres that web in his execution. You can hear samples from an artist like J-Dilla, all the way to bands like Portishead. His musical range is diverse. A student of music and an appreciator/fan is his foremost admission. The sound is experimental and you feel the ‘art’ element in his work.

Over the last few years, Jinesis has been building fan bases internationally and domestically. Using the Internet as his main trafficking tool, Jinesis and his team of musician friends push music to fans and the appropriate agents who aggregate good music online. From there he has linked with artists such as Ques and Fresh Daily, Jesse Abraham, P.So the earthtone king who have created songs for his tracks. He also plays instrumentals around various New York City venues, such as The Pyramid & Bowery Poetry club.

Recently, success has come in the form of his latest two projects. An installment in the first of an instrumental series entitled simply, "I'll Be" and a remix project "My Thoughts Exactly". As opposed to having these projects for sale, Jinesis released them both independently online digitally for free and commissioned graphic illustrator, Fresh Daily for the artwork. Their collaborative work has been pushed across the blogosphere with strong feedback and lots of fan appreciation. At the half-way point of 2009, Jinesis and German based producer Prickly Pear dropped two production installments, The Coffeeshop and The Coffeeshop 2. Both come after the release of Jinesis’ debut album Bonkers Vol. 1. Collectively Jinesis's projects have over 2,000 downloads and counting. The collective works can be downloaded at http://jinesis.bandcamp.com/ as well as contact information.

Jinesis "My Thoughts Exactly" (New Album)

"My Thoughts Exactly"

These are my versions of pre-existing songs. My re-interpretations of what I imagined and thought

they would sound like in my mind. Again, I'm come from the aesthetic where the producer dictates

the direction of the song and provides the sonic backdrop. Nowadays however with the technically

advanced age we live… Continue

Jinesis I'll Be (Gold Edition)

"I'll Be" represents me just being creatively free. Initially titled "I'll Be Jinesis", I changed it simply to "I'll be" to solidify that I talk through my music. The most apt representation of my person is my music. To further accentuate that state of freedom, this instrumental project is free for the listener. You're… Continue
