SCO “One of Michigan’s Finest”
When one thinks of greatness in any field whether it is the sports arena, film, or music one will assume that greatness is achieved with years of hard work and dedication, but as far as rap music goes today…that is not the case. One could come on the scene with a catchy hook, a halfway decent beat, and a bunch of lyric-less chants and be a multi-platinum sensation in what seems like minutes.

In the case of Michigan veteran rapper SCO….greatness has been achieved through many years of blood, sweat, and tears to get where he is at today. After proving time and time again that he is no ordinary rapper, SCO is ready to give the game something it has been lacking in recent years…TALENT!

Enter Roscoe Kellam better known as rapper-song writer and producer SCO who has been making music since the tender age of 14. SCO grew up on the Southside of Pontiac Michigan where his music was developed with inspiration from some of the game’s biggest heavy weights including; the Geto Boys, LL Cool J, Run DMC, 2 Pac, and Master P to name a few.

1992 was the year SCO founded his successful independent record label…Stayin’ Hi Records and since has released almost a dozen albums which touched just about every corner of the United States selling 100,000 + units. SCO has been featured in some of Hiphop’s biggest publications including….
Murder Dog, Ozone Magazine, Down Low, Block 2 Block, WWS Magazine, Rap Ireland, Rap Fanatic, and the Interscope Promoter to name a few.

In addition to being in many big media outlets SCO has also worked with some of the biggest talent the rap game has to offer including Michael “5000” Watts…The Founder and CEO of Swisha House(Mike Jones, Paul Wall), The Multi-Platinum Producer Kenoe from Koch Records/Laboratory Records and the legendary R & B singer and songwriter Keith Washington.

After many successful ventures, distribution deals, and big selling independent albums under his belt SCO is still hard at work. Currently, SCO is working on an album entitled “The Swag In Me” which includes production from: K.E. on the Track, Detroit Nix, Matlock, Marc Singleton, and Stylz Keyz. He will also be releasing “Next To Blow Mixtape Volume 2” real soon. SCO known for his international mixtapes, has attracted over 100,000 fans worldwide. Also the new hit single “WE MADE IT” ft./ Ms.Hermiz & Saint, will be available on Itunes by the end of this month. The artist and his street team have been promoting his movement through various channels. Some of the promotional activities include live performances, college and commercial radio airplay, internet radio stations, television commercials, CD giveaways, vinyl records, postcards and flyers, features on other artist’s songs and mixtapes, internet marketing, and also magazine interviews. To help spread the word the hip-hop phenomenon has also outsourced some of the promotions to established promotional companies.
